POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME

The object of the PMS is scientific training and specialization in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Genetics methodologies and their application in fields such as cancer, infectious diseases, genetic diseases, toxicology, forensics, archaeology, paleontology and the detection of genetically modified organisms. Students are trained in basic and advanced biomolecule analysis techniques, genomics and bioinformatics.

Students are invited to prepare a Master’s Diplomatic Specialization (MDE), the subject of which must have an original research character.

Research Activity of Teaching Staff

During 2022, the MSc teaching staff has published 67 research papers (Scopus data – 84 papers according to Google Scholar data).

Alumni Research Activity

44% of postgraduate students (90 people out of a total of 205) participated in at least 1 research project, while 54% of them (49 people out of a total of 90) followed an academic career in research institutions outside the Department.
